Final Exam

4. A single photo taken by me which has transformed how I look at photography is this one. The reason this photo has changed how I view photography is because it shows me that regardless of the experience you have, you are still completely capable of capturing stunning and close to professional photographs. In my case, I have very minimal experience however with this photograph your level as a photographer is masked. Instead we observe and focus on the details of the picture.

5. Form and Shape are different in that form has 3 dimensions (Length, Width and Depth) and Shape only has 2 dimensions (Length and Width).

Element of Art-Form: http://msj-rudriksuthar-photography.blogspot.com/2015/04/element-of-art-form.html. This Photo is a photo of a computer mouse. It illustrates form because you can tell it is clearly 3 dimensional.

Element of Art-Shape: http://msj-rudriksuthar-photography.blogspot.com/2015/04/element-of-art-shape.html. This photo is a photo of the garden near our class. It illustrates shape because there are various 'shapes' in the image, for example the boxes, and cases in which the plants are planted in.

6. Repetition helps in creating unity inside a picture. It may also have multiple similar objects, but they work together to make the photo look active. Pattern is the simple repeating of an object throughout the picture.

8. Links to last 3 projects.

I have included the links to our last three projects, and out of the three I personally think my best one was the very last one. This project was the one which my friend and I drove to the Fremont Porsche Dealership to take these photographs. The interesting part about this was that at first I had no real intention of taking pictures of expensive cars, however Mr. Farley would always see me scrolling through articles on a car and driver website, which influenced his as well as my decision on how to do this project. Link to car website: http://www.caranddriver.com/ Now, there are multiple reasons to why this is my best project. The first one is that it changed the way that I view photography. It shows that your experience as a photographer does not influence how nice the photo will be, but your natural skill in itself. This is how I see differently. Second, this project was the most fun. It was great talking to the people who worked at the Porsche dealership, explaining to them what this project was about, as well as learning interesting facts regarding these world known cars. Finally, this project has the best photos I've ever taken. Just look at them, I feel that they are close to perfect. If this doesn't make you want to buy a Porsche, I don't know what will.

MSJMCW Story

Mission San Jose High School is having their annual Multicultural week. During this time Mission San Jose High allows students and their clubs to raise funds by selling food during lunch. This food is catered through various restaurants, and is re sold to the students. This year however it is different. MSJ decided to enforce a ticket system, in which you must order tickets to purchase food. Each ticket is worth one dollar, and is refundable. Although, this system has done a great job to deter older students from buying food on campus, who would much rather go out to lunch. Pre-ordering tickets is such a hassle.

Shutter Speed and Everything Else

Partner: Andrew Liu (http://aliuser.blogspot.com/

Lens Blog Photo
Fast or Slow - Fast. The shutter speed is fast because the truck moving down the highway seems to be still, or frozen in motion. This indicates that the shutter was set to a really high interval.
Rule of Composition - Leading lines. The rule of leading lines is the rule present in this photo because there are a lot of lines and bars throughout the photograph. This gives depth and sense of dimension.
Element of Art - Form. The element of art is form because there are multiple objects with three dimensional form, such as the trucks and railing.
Principle of design - Pattern. The principle of design for this photo is pattern because there is consistent repetition of objects.

Tuesday with Farley's Kids
Edits: Temp. +1 Exposure. +.75 shadows. -3 Blacks. +3 Vibrancy. +100
The shutter speed was not specified but must have been 1/250. Which is around the minimum shutter speed required.

Favorite Photo Rudrik and Andrew's assignment

Picture 5
This picture demonstrates symmetry with the players being on both sides of the Eagle and there are two light posts one on either side of the Eagle but the symmetry is offset by the soda bottle that's sitting on the bench. One of the reasons it's my favorite photo is because it shows a lot going on behind the Eagle's form but it isn't chaotic, there are various discussions happening and the eagle seems to be a spectator in the entire scene.
There's also almost no one with their faces showing so the one guy who is facing the Eagle and almost the photographer stands out and your eye is drawn to him after looking at the Eagle right in the center of the Photograph. There's also a lot of lighting all over the photo which helps you see details in the floor and the uniforms of the players that you might not otherwise notice.

Multimedia Fest Poster 2

Media Fest questions

What did you do to create it?
To create it we tried to make a different background than the last one with the gradient. We used the info and positioned the text carefully. Then with the photos we blurred the edges, and used the pinch effect to make it seem as if the photos were popping out of the laptop.

Why is it good?
This poster is way more complex, it uses more of Photoshop's features and tools. It is easier to look at mainly because the text is evenly spaced out.

Why is it better than the last?
We are now more advanced in our techniques. We have googled how to make our poster better and use more of the recourse. Additionally, more time was spent on this assignment. The last one so rushed and more of a random combination of text and images.

Period 3 - Semester Final

1. My favorite photo from the slideshow is photo number 6. There are three reasons why this is. First, there are only three main colors in the entire photograph. Second, although there are three colors which are focused on, there is lots of depth related to the photo. It's easily seen that the photograph captures miles and miles of land behind. Third reason is that if you were to only look at the bottom half of the photograph, you wouldn't be able to tell it is a cloudy day. Kind of like an illusion.

2. The best photo from this album is photo number 8. There are three reason. First, there is an enormous amount of detail. You can see all the waves and splashes of water. Second, there is symmetry in the image. For example, 8 divers instead of 7 or 9. Third reason is because the color of the swimming pool changes

3. My best work this semester is the following: https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2E1neKnzXh-W2At6RygoaF6-XrxfF5MVuDIU8V6ul0vCks9UPF6AUfPzZwLvqHVgvydIx4CYt6mW7anN70Pei8-izOs2__wzdinWeo880X3Agh8sMA7zS4v4lXdpoY9ZfeKRJOoDTEVHq/s1600/IMAG0475_1.jpg
This image is my best work because, of the rules of composition, the editing, as well as the camera I used to capture this image. If I had more time, I would have made more variations of this photograph, by perhaps adding more filters or cropping it more vertically.

4. My three rules of composition are; Rule of thirds, rule of symmetry, and rule of leading lines.

5. This is a photo which illustrates my rules of composition. The ones in this picture are rule of symmetry and Rule of leading lines.
6. Your first rule is "get closer"

7. The benefits of working in a group include: 1.) doing things more efficiently. 2.) if you are ever confused about anything, your group can help you out. 3.) Give and receive feedback on performance. 4.) you can develop communication skills. 5.) You can encourage each other in times of difficulty.

8. Some difficulties in group work include: 1.) not getting along with other members or group in general. 2.) Some members may choose not to contribute. 3.) Some individuals may be dominating everything. 4.) There can be difficulty meeting up outside class time. 5.) Ideas may not be thoroughly discussed as a team.
9.
http://aliuser.blogspot.com/2014/10/second-portrait.html. This photo is of me, edited and posted by my friend Andrew.

10. My master photographer project was based off of Robert Frank. He was a photographer way back in the day, and his significant contributions was to take pictures of people in black and white. He also contributed by taking photos of people and children in candid positions.

11. Her most famous photograph was the migrant mother photograph, in which a women is depicted tired and worn out with two children next to her. This photo was taken in Nipomo, California in 1936, during which she was employed by the FSA.

12. Life magazine was created and founded by Henry Luce. It began publishing in 1972.
